1. Overview
Conex Box USA sells new, one-trip, used, refurbished, wind and watertight, cargo worthy, as-is, modified, and specialty container products. This policy explains general condition descriptions and warranty expectations. Specific terms on a quote, invoice, product listing, or written agreement control if they differ from this general policy.
2. Representative Photos and Product Variation
Photos on our website may be representative examples. Actual containers may vary in color, markings, manufacturer, doors, locking bars, flooring, dents, scratches, paint, surface rust, patches, repairs, and cosmetic appearance. Used containers are not new and should be expected to show normal wear.
3. Common Container Grades
- One Trip / New: Typically used for one ocean trip or limited handling. May still have minor transportation marks, scratches, stickers, or handling wear.
- Cargo Worthy / CW: Suitable for cargo transport when inspected/certified where required. May show normal used condition and cosmetic wear.
- Wind & Watertight / WWT: Designed to keep out normal wind and rain for storage use, but may have dents, surface rust, patches, and cosmetic wear.
- Used / Refurbished: Previously used containers repaired or prepared for storage or resale according to the stated condition.
- As-Is: Sold in present condition with known or unknown defects, without warranty except as required by law or stated in writing.
4. What Is Normally Not Covered
Unless specifically promised in writing, the following are generally not considered defects for used or refurbished containers:
- cosmetic dents, dings, scratches, patches, weld marks, and prior repairs;
- surface rust, paint fading, decals, shipping marks, or color variation;
- normal door stiffness, gasket wear, floor marks, odors, or prior cargo residue that is consistent with the grade;
- minor water condensation caused by temperature changes or ventilation conditions;
- site-related issues such as uneven placement, improper foundation, drainage, flooding, or customer modifications; and
- damage caused after delivery by relocation, loading, misuse, accidents, weather events, vandalism, or unauthorized alterations.
5. Inspection at Delivery
Customers should inspect their container at delivery and report material issues immediately. Claims should include order number, delivery address, photos, videos, and a description of the issue. Claims after delivery are handled together with our Refund & Return Policy.
6. Limited Warranty Where Applicable
When a written warranty is provided, it applies only to the specific item, condition, timeframe, and remedy stated in the quote, invoice, or written warranty. Remedies may include repair support, replacement, partial refund, or another reasonable solution determined by Conex Box USA.
No employee, driver, carrier, or contractor may change warranty terms unless confirmed in writing by Conex Box USA.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for choosing the correct container grade for their intended use, preparing the site, complying with permits and local rules, maintaining the container, controlling moisture and ventilation, and protecting the container after delivery.
